Web Portal Guide

A complete reference for the TrustMFT web interface.

Dashboard

The dashboard gives you a snapshot of your storage account:

  • Storage used — how much of your quota is consumed
  • File count — total number of files currently stored
  • Recent activity — your latest uploads and downloads

Storage usage is updated periodically. If you have recently deleted large files, the dashboard may take a few minutes to reflect the change.

Browsing Files

The Files page shows all files in your current folder. Use the folder tree in the breadcrumb bar to navigate between folders. You can:

  • Click a folder to open it
  • Click New Folder to create a sub-folder
  • Click the folder's delete icon to remove an empty folder
  • Sort and filter files using the table headers and search box

Uploading Files

To upload files, go to the Files page and either:

  • Click Upload Files and choose files from your device
  • Drag and drop files directly onto the file list area

Multiple files can be uploaded in a single batch. The upload progress is shown for each file.

File size limit is enforced per client and is shown in the upload dialog. Files exceeding the limit will be rejected before upload begins.

File Statuses

Every uploaded file goes through a lifecycle indicated by its status badge:

Status Meaning
Scanning File is queued for or currently being scanned for malware.
Ready File passed the scan and is available for download.
Quarantined File was flagged during malware scanning and is not available. Contact your administrator.
Expired File exceeded its retention period and can no longer be downloaded.

Downloading Files

Single File

Click the download icon next to any Ready file to download it directly to your device.

Bulk Download (ZIP)

To download multiple files at once:

1

Tick the checkboxes next to the files you want.

2

Click Download as ZIP in the toolbar that appears.

3

Your browser will download a .zip archive containing all selected files.

Deleting Files

Click the delete icon next to a file to remove it. To delete multiple files, select them and click Delete Selected. Deletion is permanent — files cannot be recovered once deleted.

Deletion is irreversible. Files removed from TrustMFT are permanently deleted from cloud storage and cannot be recovered.

Folders

Folders help you organise files within a client account. You can create any folder hierarchy. Note that a folder must be empty before it can be deleted — delete or move all files inside it first.

File Expiry

Files may be configured with an expiry date by your administrator. Once expired, a file transitions to Expired status and can no longer be downloaded. The expiry date is shown in the file details panel.
